On the way to these systems, computer science and engineering sciences grow together. This determines our thoughts and actions: We design concepts for intelligent technical systems that are adaptable, robust, user-friendly, and anticipatory. This requires new approaches, methods and techniques, which we deliver. In competition, we want to position ourselves as a leading interdisciplinary research institute for methods and technologies for intelligent systems.
Innovation needs top talent. We provide our young scientists with the technical, methodological and social skills they will need in the future and prepare them to take on responsibility in industry and science. Around 20 young scientists complete their doctorates with us every year.
